Typical Water Filtration Processes

Raw Water Pre-Filtration (Coarse Clarification)

Source water is commonly treated by coarse clarification to remove larger particles such as sand, rust, and suspended solids. For this stage, economical filtration solutions are typically selected.

• 5–10 micron PP melt-blown filter cartridges
• Bag filters for higher flow rates

Dechlorination

In many food and beverage applications, residual chlorine in water must be removed to protect product quality and downstream filtration media.

• Activated carbon filtration

Activated carbon filters effectively remove chlorine and organic compounds that may affect taste, odor, or membrane life.

CIP Cleaning Water Filtration

CIP (Clean-In-Place) water is used to clean and disinfect pipelines, tanks, bottles, and filtration systems. Although not in direct contact with the final product, CIP water still requires controlled filtration accuracy.

• 1–5 micron absolute-rated PP pleated filter cartridges

Bottle Washing & Beverage Formulation Water

Bottle washing and beverage formulation represent the highest water quality requirements in beverage production. At this stage, water must be free from external microorganisms to prevent contamination and product spoilage.

• 0.2 or 0.45 micron absolute-rated PES pleated membrane filter cartridges

PES membrane filters are widely used for microbial removal and final polishing in hygienic food and beverage applications.
